  • What platform do you use for eCommerce websites?

    I currently design and manage the development of online shops using WordPress and WooCommerce, providing a flexible and widely supported platform for businesses looking to sell products online.

    The exact setup and functionality will depend on your products and requirements, so I’ll establish what’s needed before providing a detailed quotation.

    One of the benefits of WooCommerce is that your website can evolve as your business grows.

    Additional functionality can often be introduced later, although more complex integrations or specialist development will always be assessed and quoted separately before work begins.

  • How much does an eCommerce website cost?

    Every online shop is different, so eCommerce websites are quoted individually based on the number of products, required functionality, payment and shipping requirements and the overall complexity of the project.

    Following an initial discussion, I’ll provide a clear quotation and proposed scope before any work begins.

  • How long does an eCommerce website take to build?

    eCommerce websites generally require considerably more design, development, configuration and testing than standard brochure websites.

    A typical project may take around 8–12 weeks, depending on the number of products, functionality required and how quickly content, product information and feedback are supplied.

    More complex websites may take longer, and an estimated timescale will always be provided before the project begins.

  • What do I need to supply for my products?

    You’ll normally need to provide product names, descriptions, prices, categories, variations where applicable and good-quality product images (ideally cut out on a white background), along with any relevant shipping, delivery or product information.

    I’ll help you work out how those products should be organised before the build gets underway, including clear categories and product variations where required, and I’ll explain exactly what information I need from you.

  • Can I manage products and orders myself?

    Absolutely. You’ll have access to WordPress and WooCommerce, allowing you to add and update products, change prices, monitor orders and manage stock yourself.

    Tailored Loom video tutorials can also be provided if you need a helping hand getting started.

  • Which payment methods can I accept?

    WooCommerce can integrate with a wide range of payment providers. Depending on your chosen provider and requirements, this can include card payments, Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

    Any third-party transaction charges, merchant fees or premium extensions required are separate from the website build and will be explained where applicable.

  • What happens after my online shop launches?

    Every new eCommerce website will include a fully managed DFX Website Care plan, providing Essential DFX Website Care along with regular WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin updates, maintenance, backups, security monitoring and technical support.

After using AI to brainstorm a few ideas myself, I sent my thinking to Natalie. She took the time to fully understand the business, my market and customer base. She also listened to my early ideas on the type of illustrated logo I was looking for.
