A logo is often the starting point for a wider visual identity. When I’m developing a logo, I’ll take the time to understand your business, audience and ideas before creating anything.
I don’t rely on generic logo generators, clip art or ready-made templates. Your branding is professionally developed around your individual business and requirements, with plenty of opportunity to refine the design until you’re completely happy with it.
Once your logo is approved, I’ll prepare and supply the artwork in the appropriate file formats for both print and digital use. That includes vector artwork for professional applications as well as versions suitable for your website, social media, documents and everyday use.
As well as designing your artwork, I can manage the professional printing for you too. With more than 30 years of experience in graphic design and print, I can advise on suitable paper stocks, finishes and print options and manage the process through to delivery.
That could be anything from business cards and leaflets to brochures, catalogues, presentation folders and exhibition materials.
Once the design is approved, I’ll prepare the print-ready artwork correctly, including bleed, CMYK colours and suitable image resolution, manage production through my trusted print partners and arrange delivery of the finished job.
I can also help with professional web design, managing the project from initial design through to development and launch.

A graphic designer takes your ideas, information and objectives and works out how best to communicate them visually. That means thinking about who the design is for, what needs to stand out and how it will actually be used – whether I’m developing a new logo and brand identity, laying out a detailed brochure or creating graphics for an exhibition.
A graphic designer combines creativity with practical problem-solving, using typography, colour, imagery and layout to communicate a message clearly. There’s usually a reason behind each design decision – from the typeface chosen for a logo to the way information is organised on a page – rather than simply making something look attractive.
I trained in graphic design at college and have worked professionally in the industry for over 30 years. I’ve been using a Mac and professional Adobe software since 1994, with extensive experience in Illustrator, Photoshop and preparing artwork correctly for both print and digital use.
I’ve worked with many businesses in and around Cambridge throughout that time, as well as clients across Essex, London and other parts of the UK. Many of my client relationships go back years, and I now have over 100 five-star Google reviews from businesses I’ve worked with along the way. That experience has also taught me how to understand what a client actually needs and explain the design and print process without drowning them in technical jargon.
Graphic design is essentially visual communication – using elements such as typography, colour, imagery, spacing and layout to make information easier to understand and give it the right visual tone.
It could be something as simple as making sure the most important message on a leaflet gets noticed first, or developing a complete visual style that makes a business recognisable across its print and digital materials.
My work covers several areas of graphic design. Visual identity design includes logos, colour palettes and typography; marketing and advertising design includes leaflets, promotional graphics and other campaign materials; while publication design covers longer pieces such as brochures and catalogues.
I also work across print design, including business cards, stationery, presentation folders and exhibition graphics, as well as digital and website design. Because I work across these different areas, I can make sure the same brand identity carries through from something as small as a business card to a website or large-format exhibition display.
It depends entirely on the type and scale of the project. A small design update will naturally cost less than developing a complete brand identity or designing a large catalogue, so I’ll always provide a clear, fixed quotation based on what you actually need before any work begins.
