  • What is DFX Website Care?

    DFX Website Care combines managed WordPress hosting, ongoing maintenance, backups, monitoring and technical support into one straightforward monthly or annual service. It means the important work required to look after your website is taken care of regularly behind the scenes.

    DFX Website Care is specifically designed for WordPress websites hosted and managed by Design FX Studio.

  • Which DFX Website Care Plan do I need?

    Small Website Care is designed for most brochure and small business websites with up to 10 pages.

    Large Website Care is for larger, eCommerce or more demanding websites that require additional time and resources to maintain.

    If you’re unsure, I’ll confirm the right option for you.

  • Why does a larger website cost more?

    Larger websites naturally require more time and resources to maintain. With more content, functionality, plugins or eCommerce features, there is more to monitor and check when updates are carried out — and potentially more to investigate or restore if something goes wrong.

    Both plans provide the same core Website Care service; the price simply reflects the additional work involved.

  • What happens if my website grows beyond 10 pages?

    DFX Website Care has been designed to grow alongside your business. If your website expands significantly, gains additional functionality or becomes more complex over time, I may recommend moving to the Large Website Care Plan to ensure sufficient maintenance time and resources are available. I’ll always discuss this with you first and explain any changes before they take effect.

  • Does DFX Website Care guarantee my website won't be hacked?

    Unfortunately, no website can be guaranteed completely immune from security threats. Website Care is designed to reduce the risks through regular updates, monitoring and backups, while ensuring there is a recovery plan in place if something does go wrong.

  • What happens if my website is compromised?

    If your website is compromised or a security issue is detected, I’ll act as quickly as possible to investigate the problem and take the appropriate steps to get your website back up and running.

    Depending on the issue, this may include taking the website temporarily offline, restoring a clean backup, updating WordPress, themes or plugins, changing passwords and checking for any known vulnerabilities that may have caused the problem.

    Regular backups, updates and monitoring mean there is already a recovery plan in place should something go wrong, helping to minimise disruption and get your website restored as quickly as possible.

    While no WordPress website can ever be guaranteed completely immune from security threats, Website Care means you’re not left trying to work out what to do on your own — I’ll be there to help manage the situation and get things moving again.

  • What happens if my website goes down?

    Your website is monitored 24/7 for uptime. If unexpected downtime is detected, it can be investigated and appropriate action taken to help get the website running again.

  • Are plugin licences included?

    Updates to standard plugins are included. Where a premium plugin requires its own paid licence or subscription to receive updates, that licence is charged separately unless already included as part of your website.

  • Is my domain name included?

    Renewal of one .co.uk domain is included where the domain is managed by Design FX Studio. Other extensions such as .com and .net are invoiced separately.

  • Can you make changes to my website for me?

    Yes. Minor website changes and amendments can be covered by the technical support time included with your plan — up to 30 minutes per month for Small Website Care and 60 minutes for Large Website Care.

    Larger changes, new pages, additional functionality or development work can be quoted separately.

  • Does unused technical support time roll over?

    No. Included website technical support time resets each month and cannot be carried over or accumulated.

  • Can I cancel at any time?

    Monthly Website Care operates on a 30-day rolling agreement. Annual plans are paid in advance for the agreed 12-month period.

  • Can I pay annually?

    Yes. Website Care can be paid monthly by standing order or annually. Choose annual payment and you’ll receive one month free.

Had a great experience with DesignFX

After using AI to brainstorm a few ideas myself, I sent my thinking to Natalie. She took the time to fully understand the business, my market and customer base. She also listened to my early ideas on the type of illustrated logo I was looking for.

What Natalie created exemplified the kind of image I was going for. She had really taken onboard everything I'd said but also had the creative confidence to offer alternatives to some of my more undefined ideas to produce something better than I had hoped for.

If you're looking for a logo that covers the basics then AI can often give you what you need. But if your brand really matters to you, and you're looking for something that reflects you and the image you want to present, then it really pays off to go with a creative designer.
