Launching your website is only the beginning.

Once your WordPress website is live, it still needs regular technical attention behind the scenes to help keep everything secure, stable and working as it should.

Every new website includes Essential DFX Website Care as standard, covering secure UK hosting, SSL certificate renewals, weekly backups, uptime monitoring, security and malware scanning.

Ongoing WordPress maintenance is also required. If you remain on Essential Website Care, core and plugin updates are carried out every six months for an additional fee. Alternatively, you can upgrade to one of my fully managed DFX Website Care plans for more regular maintenance and ongoing technical support.

How long does it typically take to build a website?

It depends on the size and complexity of your website, but a basic brochure website typically takes a minimum of four weeks to design and develop. Larger websites or those requiring more complex functionality will naturally take longer.

Having your copy, images and other information ready when I need them also helps keep everything moving. I’ll coordinate the design and development throughout the project and keep you updated on progress along the way.
What’s included in your website development services?

Every website project is different, but a typical build will include a bespoke design, mobile-responsive page layouts, SSL security and a WordPress website that’s easy to manage.

Depending on what your business needs, I can also include news sections, work portfolios, case studies and other functionality. Everything included in your website will be clearly outlined in the project scope and agreed before work begins.

I’ll also set up and/or install Google Analytics, Google Search Console and a Google Business Profile where required, so the essential foundations are in place when your website launches.
Can you look after my domain registration and hosting?

Yes. I can register or transfer your domain name and manage the renewals on your behalf.

Every new WordPress website includes Essential DFX Website Care as standard, covering secure UK hosting, SSL certificate renewals, weekly backups, uptime monitoring, security and malware scanning.

WordPress software also needs to be maintained after launch. Can you help with business email and email signatures?

Yes. While I don’t provide business email services directly, I work closely with a trusted local IT company who can set up and support professional business email accounts, including Microsoft 365.

Once your email accounts are set up, I can also design branded email signatures, with centralised signature management available through Exclaimer if required.

Will my website be fully optimised?

Every new website is developed to be mobile responsive, work properly across modern browsers and devices, and include solid SEO foundations from launch.

Basic SEO setup is included as standard, but targeting more competitive keywords and locations or improving visibility across Google and AI-powered search requires a more advanced, ongoing SEO strategy.

For specialist SEO, GEO and AI Visibility Optimisation, I work closely with my trusted digital marketing partner, Front Page Advantage.
Can I update and manage my website myself?

Absolutely. You’ll have full access to manage your own website content and, if you need a helping hand, tailored Loom video tutorials can be provided upon request.

If you’d rather I take care of updates for you, DFX Website Support is available for things such as content and image changes, new pages, articles, products and other website improvements, either on a pay-as-you-go basis or through a tailored monthly package.
How much will it cost to develop my website?

Development costs vary depending on the size and complexity of the website and any additional functionality required. A straightforward brochure website will naturally cost less than a larger eCommerce website, login area or project requiring more bespoke development.

I’ll provide a clear quotation at the beginning of your project, outlining the development costs and what’s included, so you know exactly what you’ll need to pay before work begins.
